Why IIT?

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are institutes of academic excellence. At present we have seventeenth institutes located in Mumbai, Kanpur, Delhi, Kharagpur, Chennai, Roorkee and Guwahati, Ropar, Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Indore, Mandi, Patna, Jodhpur, IIT (BHU). IIT Campuses are sprawling, surrounded by thousand acres of greenery and home to about thousands of faculty and students. It aims to serve the country by providing innovative solutions to all the current problems and trials.

IITs attract students across the country and abroad. It claims to have best faculty known worldwide, having facilities of recent trend, and the most astounding campus that every student in the country wish for. The campus is vibrant with many activities happening around, guest lecturers from some of the most eminent faces in the industry, workshops, theatres, sports and many. IITians carry not only their education with them, but also a huge network comprising talented individuals spread across the globe

IITs is also known for conducting country’s most hard-hitting competitive exam for its admission, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). On this year, 2013, there were 14 lakh candidates that appeared for the exam. Out of lakhs, only few thousands get the privilege to outshine themselves from such prestigious institutes.

The institute is not just about academic learning. Other major highlights are the cultural, science and technology and sports festivals, attracting colleges from all over India. No wonder why  IITians look back to their years in IIT as among the best years of their lives.
